Another hidden Gem - Crab Specialist @ Defu Lane 10

Last week's Sunday Times was uncovered some place that dish out excellent Claypot Crab Bee Hoon. We forgotten to save the article and was trying to look for the one nearest to me... @ defu lane.

We decided to drive around and see if we had any luck finding the store. Didn't had much luck. when we realised that there is Defu Lane 1 - 10. :( Instead, we stumbled upon this hidden gem. Not Claypot Crab Bee Hoon but their signature dish is Crab Vermicelli with Superior Stock.
The restaurant is The Seafood "Paradise" Restaurant. They call themselves "The Seafood Phenonmenon...." Open Daily till 11pm. Located at 91 Defu Lane.

Initally, we had some doubts about this coffeeshop/restaurant, but decided to give it a try anyways since we were hungry ;p The place is rather packed with family and business associates. Pretty surprising... for somewhere tuck away in the industrial estate.

We ordered three of their signature dishes... Crab Vermicelli with Superior Stock, Deep Fried Chicken Wings with Salt n Pepper and Home-made Tofu with mixed seafood.
Pretty yummy... didn't quite like the salt n pepper chicken wings. (didnt like the style... still prefer the good old har chong kai (shrimp paste chicken) or regular fried chicken).

Burp! the crab we had weighed about 1.8 Kg..its huge since only two of us were there.

Will definitely come back for more.... at least is only 5 minutes drive away. *Grin*

Chong Qing Hot Pot @ Beach Road

Today, we deicided to have fun in the cool!

First we checked out the Harbin Wonderland, you can read about it in my friendster's blog. http://oinkster.blogs.friendster.com/my_blog/

After that, we decided to go have chongqing hot pot to warm our body up before heading to another cold chill out place... Eski Bar @ Circular Road.

Walking down the stretch of Beach Road, there are quite a few "authentic" chongqing hot pot. There is even a price war "fight" there as well. All the stores are rather affordable... ranging from $10-$15 per head. We picked the most crowded one which is located at 101 beach road building. We sat there and ate for 2 and 1/2 hour... So full after that. Hehe, since this weekend is the start of the Singapore Food Festival, there was a food fest @ bugis parco. I walked there and bought black pepper crab to add to our dinner :P Yummy!

Check out what we had... :P
